SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a fantastic primary school in Islington, seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2025. ‍ About the Role: Full-time Year 2 Class Teacher position - Monday to Friday Teaching a well-behaved and engaged Year 2 cohort Delivering the KS1 National Curriculum with a strong emphasis on Phonics, Reading, Writing, Maths and cross-curricular subjects Responsible for planning, preparing and delivering lessons in line with national expectations Regular marking, assessment and tracking of pupil progress Creating a warm, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment Differentiating lessons to cater for all learners, including those with SEND and EAL Working collaboratively with your year group partner and wider staff team Attending staff meetings, INSET days, and contributing to school life The Successful Year 2 Teacher Will: Be a qualified Class Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment expectations Be confident in delivering high-quality Phonics teaching (preferably Letters and Sounds or Little Wandle) Have excellent classroom management skills and a nurturing teaching approach Be committed to inclusive teaching and raising standards for all pupils Be enthusiastic, proactive, and collaborative Bring positivity, professionalism and a genuine love of teaching The School Offers: A highly supportive leadership team and a collaborative staff environment A friendly and inclusive ethos where everyone feels valued Dedicated PPA time and strong year group partnerships CPD opportunities and professional development A well-resourced school with bright, engaging learning spaces Interested in this Year 2 Class Teacher opportunity?
