In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support children with Special Educational Needs such as Autism, Cerebral palsy, and other neurological needsWork effectively with other support staff to create a safe learning environmentHelp to assess and monitor children’s learning and developmentSupport education in line witht the Priamry National CurriculumSupport pupils with varying levels of Austism from severe to mildAnd much more!
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience supporting children or young adults with SEN in a school/care setting or through personal experienceKnowledge of Primary CurriculumAbility to build relationships with children and staff quicklyhave a proactive efficient midnset and attitudeA kind and caring manner to working with childrenThe ability to be flexible to suit the needs of all childrenExperience supporting with personal care/moving and handling (desirable, not essential)
