Team Leader Cwmbran Monday - Thursday 06.30 - 16.30 £13.50 - £16.50 (DOE) Acorn by Synergie is working with a client in Cwmbran who design and manufacture monitoring and telemetry equipment for water. They are seeking a Team Leader to join their company on site in Cwmbran. Purpose of Job The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a production line, ensuring that production targets are met. The role involves leading a team of operators, coordinating activities, troubleshooting issues, liaising with other departments to optimise productivity and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow, satisfactory performance, right first-time quality, high morale, and governance to policies and procedures. Oversee the daily operations of the production line, ensuring products are manufactured according to specifications and quality standards. Ensure that products meet the required quality standards by conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions when necessary. Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety policies and procedures. Identify areas for improvement in the production process and implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, reduce defects, eliminate waiting time, and lower costs. Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and quality issues. Person Specification Strong leadership presence and the ability to influence and inspire others. GCSEs or equivalent; additional qualifications in manufacturing or engineering are advantageous. Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
