Norgine: Transforming Healthcare, Backed by Over a Century of Expertise.We have an exciting opportunity for a MSL – Paediatric Oncology/Rare Diseases to join Norgine. The person holding this position will report to the Medical Manager - Paediatric Oncology and be a member of the Medical Affairs team.The core responsibility of the MSL is to establish, develop and maintain trusted and collaborative scientific relationships with Experts in the medical community. Through high quality, non-promotional, scientific exchange they will contribute as a therapy area expert to the Norgine business. This will be a permanent role with the territory of the South of England. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:External Experts Identify, document and purposefully engage in strategically aligned nonpromotional interactions with a subset of HCPs defined as External Experts based on their scientific, medical, clinical and/or healthcare system expertise in the relevant therapeutic area(s). Responsible for managing their territory and meeting the unique needs Externa Experts have for medical/scientific information and/or collaboration via peer to peer style scientific exchange. External Engagement Act as a bridge between Norgine and the medical/scientific community in the TAs we operate. Purposefully engage strategically aligned External Experts in meaningful two-way scientific exchange, seeking to deepen our TA knowledge, understand the unmet needs of HCPs and patients, and explore opportunities for collaboration to advance the standard of care available to patients. Provide tailored, timely, accurate and non-promotional medical/scientific information relating to licensed and unlicensed products and indications following unsolicited requests from Health Care Professionals.Insight to Action Gather actionable insight of strategic value to inform internal decision making across the business, acting as a strategic business partner to internal colleagues. Follow the Insight to Action process led by Medical to focus insight gathering activity on specific gaps/needs identified in consultation with cross-functional business partners. Scientific Knowledge and Expertise Trusted and sought after for depth and breadth of relevant TA(s) knowledge by both internal and external stakeholders. Maintain in-depth and cutting edge understanding of relevant therapeutic area(s) to include patient journey/pathways, current and future research into disease, pharmacological and allied treatment; through ongoing education to include, company-led and self-learning, attending scientific congresses and reading specialist/scientific literature. Deliver high-quality scientific training (eg. disease state and product) to Norgine colleagues as required. Cross Functional Collaboration Effective and compliant collaboration with office and field-based colleagues from medical and commercial functions to deliver critical objectives and meet the unique needs of individual External Experts, HCPs and healthcare accounts. Actively participate in prioritized account planning/management meetings to optimize external engagement plans, identify unmet educational need of HCPs/accounts and ensure the best outcome for patients. Provide non-promotional and high quality medical/scientific contribution to market access and product protocol/formulary applications as required. Medical Affairs Clinical Research Support Provide scientific, medical and disease related knowledge and insight to support late stage and post marketing clinical development. Collaborate with external / internal CRO team and Medical Managers / Advisors to support existing clinical sites and provide feasibility and research site recommendations as required in accordance with guidelines, Norgine Internal Policies, and regulations. Upon investigator request, support independent strategically aligned investigator sponsored trial (IST) submissions. Capability Building Develop own capabilities by participating in formal and informal training and coaching to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain deep understanding of relevant technology, external codes of practice and industry best practices through ongoing education to include, company-led and self learning, attending conferences and reading specialist literature. RequirementsEducation and Experience Medic, pharmacist or PhD in biomedical sciences, or nurse with significant clinical experience and scientific acumen in Oncology or Rare Diseases Experience as an MSL Strong ability to communicate and interpret complex data effectively Experience building strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions Additional Information Prepared to work autonomously from home and availability to travel extensively domestically and abroad as required.
