Job Title: Multi Skilled Operative Location: London Borough of Southwark Salary: Competitive Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) We are seeking a proactive and experienced Multi Skilled Operative to deliver day-to-day maintenance and repairs across eight leisure centres in the London Borough of Southwark. This is a hands-on, multi-trade role with a focus on ensuring facilities remain safe, clean, and operational for all users. About the Role: You will carry out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, basic electrical work, and general building fabric maintenance. You will also work closely with centre managers and contractors to support statutory compliance and excellent service delivery. Key Responsibilities:Perform routine and emergency maintenance across multiple sitesCarry out repairs and improvements to building fabric, fixtures, and fittingsEnsure all works comply with health & safety and building regulationsSupport statutory compliance and building safety, including fire safety standardsCollaborate with internal teams and external contractors to maintain high standardsKey Qualifications & Experience:City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalentCity & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or equivalentOR City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Multi-skills or equivalentStrong understanding of health & safety, building regulations, and fire safety standardsFull, clean UK driving licenceAbility to work at heightEnhanced DBS may be requiredWorking Pattern:36 hours per week (Monday to Friday)Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMFlexibility required to adjust start and finish times occasionally to meet business needsWhat We Offer:A varied and rewarding role in a supportive team environmentOpportunities for ongoing training and developmentThe chance to make a real difference in the communityThe pay range for the role is £26.00per hour LTD company rate.
