About the role As an Internal Business Development Manager at Octopus, you’ll play a critical role in driving our success. Your mission will be to inspire and educate financial advisers, empowering them to address their clients’ needs through dynamic telephone-based selling. In partnership with our External BDM, you’ll craft and execute a regional business plan to achieve ambitious targets. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Fostering and nurturing existing adviser relationships, ensuring they continue to thrive Identifying new commercial business opportunities through expert questioning and insight Serving as the go-to person for all adviser enquiries, identifying the commercial opportunity for them and Octopus alongside delivering exceptional customer service Generating and managing leads to increase business inflow Owning the regional events and marketing strategy which may include presenting at events and hosting webinars Arranging adviser meetings for your External BDMs as well as attending and hosting them, where relevant Providing valuable feedback to the wider business, ensuring the needs of advisers and their clients are met Delivering impactful presentations to IFAs Attending and representing Octopus at industry conferences and seminars Continually refining internal systems to enhance regional efficiency At Octopus, we believe in the power of collaboration and support.
