This is a full-time, term-time only, permanent role.The school supports up to 30 pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a central role in creating a nurturing, structured learning environment where every pupil is supported to succeed - academically, socially, and emotionally.This is a rare opportunity to be part of something new, inclusive, and built on trust, connection and impact. Key Responsibilities Work closely with teachers to deliver differentiated learningSupport pupils with SEMH needs in and out of the classroomHelp students build confidence, independence, and emotional regulationFoster strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staffContribute to behaviour support plans and pastoral carePromote real-world learning and post-16 readiness Qualifications and Experience A calm, resilient and caring approachExperience working with children or young people (SEMH preferred)Strong communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to learn and complete relevant trainingA commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed practiceEnhanced DBS required (or willing to obtain one) SENDirect are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and will be subject to enhanced DBS and reference checks.
