Service Accountant – Housing Location: London Contract: Temporary (6-months initial) Rate: £550.00 per day umbrella // £483.85 per day PAYE Inclusive // £431.74 per day PAYE Exclusive Start Date: ASAP *Hybrid Working – 2 days per week in office* Contact: greg.waite@servicecare.org.uk Job Description Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in London for a Housing Services Accountant to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will lead the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) and related services, providing advice to senior stakeholders. Main Responsibilities Co-ordinate both the revenue and capital budget preparation, budget monitoring and closure of accounts work, including capital financing, for Housing ServicesCollaborating with Heads of Services to support budget forecasting and monitoring.Designing complex costing models to enhance service efficiencies.Monitoring data against the Council’s revenue and capital budgets.Demonstrating strong leadership skills with a proven record in a housing finance role within local government.Completing statutory HRA returns.Contributing to the formulation of a comprehensive 30-year financial business planCandidate CriteriaCCAB/CIMA Qualified Accountant with relevant PQEExperience of HRA/Housing Finance within a Local Authority Experience of revenue and capital budget preparation, budget monitoring and closure of accountsGreat communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a teamIf you are interested in the role, or know of anyone who may be, please contact Greg at Service Care Solutions on 01772 208969 or email greg.waite@servicecare.org.uk Service Care Solutions also offers a £250 referral bonus!
