We are looking for a Technical Programme Manager who will work cross functionally across our technology leadership to shape and deliver our technology resilience programme. As well as overall management of the programme, the Technical Programme Manager will also project manage priority initiatives supporting them to be delivered within timelines, budget and quality standards. Our Future Health is the UK’s largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent and treat diseases. We are a charity, supported by the UK Government, in partnership with charities and industry. We work closely with the NHS and with public authorities across all nations and regions of the UK.Our plan is to bring together 5 million volunteers from right across the UK who will be asked to contribute information to help build one of the most detailed pictures we have ever had of people’s health. Researchers will be able to use this information to make new discoveries about human health and diseases. So future generations can live in good health for longer.What you’ll be doing In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of our technology resilience programme. This includes delivery of our information security plan, continued improvements to our technical platforms and operations and development of our centralised analytics infrastructure and data quality management systems. Your key responsibilities will also include but not be limited to: Developing ambitious but achievable quarterly programme goals and plans. Leading programme delivery including management of our fortnightly steering committee. Developing and executing robust and ambitious project plans across key technical initiatives to ensure delivery to agreed timelines and quality standards.  Identification and management of complex dependencies. Identification and removal of blockers and mitigation of key risks. Ability to collaborate seamlessly with our diverse technology functions, product, delivery and external partners. Utilising and promoting best programme and project methodologies and digital tools for distributed team success.  Providing regular status updates, risk assessments, budgetary oversight, and resource allocation.  Fostering strong stakeholder relationships, offering innovative solutions to meet diverse business needs.  Evaluating programme outcomes for continuous learning and improvement.  Work with the broader Delivery function to support continuous improvement, uphold program standards, including maintaining documentation.  RequirementsYou will have proven experience working on complex technology programmes of work, ideally with experience working on initiatives working with information security. To succeed, you will have some of the following skills and experience: Demonstrable experience in a technical programme management role with proven experience of managing successful delivery of complex technical programmes, ideally within a high growth, fast moving, start-up environment.  Proven track record of leading and managing multiple projects at the same time with short- and long-term deadlines within complex organisational environments.   Proven experience using software tools to manage and enable projects (we use, Confluence, JIRA, MS Sharepoint).  Demonstrable ability to foster positive relationships as a primary point of contact for Project Delivery both internally and with external suppliers.  An appetite to provide exceptional service with the ability to motivate colleagues and external suppliers whilst simultaneously holding them to project milestones where appropriate.  The ability to derive insights from data, support teams to do their best work, and effectively report up and down an organisation.  Understanding of Azure and other cloud-based environments and a working knowledge of key cybersecurity approaches  Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  Ability to find simple solutions out of complex use cases.  Understanding of all aspects of an agile product development lifecycle including product strategy development, story writing and requirements definition, backlog prioritisation, development, QA and launch.  Track record of successful delivery when requirements, priorities and resourcing are unclear and subject to frequent change. While not essential, some prior experience in software development and familiarity with common technical delivery tools and environments would be an advantage.  Benefits Up to £80,000 per annum basic salary.
