PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN EQUITY-ONLY ROLE AND THE INTERVIEWS WILL COMMENCE IN JULY/AUGUST 2025.Stealth-Mode Start-Up Client is seeking a visionary Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the brand, growth, and user acquisition strategy for a soon-to-launch global digital platform. This role will shape the voice, presence, and reach of the business from stealth to public launch and beyond across both B2C and creator/partner-facing segments.The CMO will work closely with the founding team, product leadership, and external collaborators to build a high-impact marketing function from scratch, blending bold storytelling with data-driven performance strategies. Please note that submissions received without all the requested information will be automatically disqualified and rejected.Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the platform's full-funnel marketing strategy across acquisition, retention, brand, and community.Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, including content, performance, influencer, and community roles.Oversee brand development, including tone of voice, visual identity, and storytelling approach.Design and manage go-to-market (GTM) plans for platform features, updates, and growth campaigns.Lead user acquisition and lifecycle marketing across key platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Google.Create and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive platform sign-ups and creator engagement.Work closely with Product and Data teams to analyse user behaviour and optimise marketing performance.Establish and manage key agency, influencer, and media partnerships to increase visibility and adoption.Oversee PR, thought leadership, media strategy, and stealth-to-public transition plans.Ensure marketing strategies comply with relevant advertising regulations and data protection standards. Requirements Minimum 8 years in senior marketing roles, including at least 3 years in a marketing leadership positionProven experience scaling user-focused digital products or marketplaces, ideally in the creator economy, music, tech, or consumer platformsStrong background in full-stack marketing: performance, brand, content, partnerships, and communityTrack record of building and leading teams in fast-paced, high-growth environmentsDeep familiarity with digital ad platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Google Ads), CRM tools, and analytics platformsExperience with influencer marketing and community-led growthDemonstrated ability to build and evolve a brand from scratch or through significant transformationExcellent communication skills, able to present strategic and creative thinking to varied audiencesPrevious start-up or pre-launch experience is a strong advantageExcellent command of the English language in all forms Ideal Candidate Profile A strategic marketing leader who blends creativity with analytical rigourPassionate about building mission-led brands and disrupting outdated industry modelsEqually comfortable thinking long-term and executing day-to-dayHighly collaborative, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levelsEnergised by ambiguity, opportunity, and the pace of an early-stage buildCommitted to authentic storytelling and meaningful impactEnthusiastic about platforms that support creators and challenge existing structuresComfortable and thrives around innovation and technical/forward-thinking technologists and creatives Compensation & Benefits Equity-only at present, to transition to a salaried, full-time permanent position when funding is secured.
