About the role To deliver highly individualised, engaging, and multi-sensory learning experiences that support the educational, social, and personal development of learners with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), in alignment with their EHCP outcomes.This is a permanent position.The ideal PMLD Tuor will be expected to: Design and deliver bespoke, sensory-rich lesson plans tailored to each student’s developmental and communication needs.Incorporate students’ EHCP outcomes into learning plans, setting realistic and meaningful short-term targets.Support and encourage the use of alternative communication methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton, eye gaze, switch technology).Provide a structured, safe, and nurturing tutorial environment including leading AM and PM tutorial sessions for a key group of students.Maintain high-quality and up-to-date records of progress. Requirements To be considered for the role of PMLD Tutor you will:- Minimum Level 4 teaching qualification - Proficient in written and spoken English and numeracy at Level 2 or equivalent- Willingness to participate in ongoing training - Availability to attend team meetings outside of regular working hours - Holds a current and valid driving licence- Flexible availability to accommodate the needs of students and partner organisations- Hold a current and valid driving licenceEmploy My Ability is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
