GSL Education are recruiting a committed Behaviour Support Worker to work within a dedicated SEN school in Mansfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a trusted figure in the lives of pupils who require structure, consistency, and encouragement to thrive in their educational journey.Position OverviewThe successful Behaviour Support Worker will assist pupils who may display behaviours that challenge, ensuring they feel supported, valued, and included in all aspects of school life. You will contribute to both academic engagement and emotional well-being by offering targeted support and promoting positive behaviour.Key Responsibilities
Support learners on a one-to-one basis and within small groups.Assist teachers with maintaining a focused, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.Help implement individual behaviour plans tailored to pupils’ needs.Encourage emotional development and reinforce social interaction skills.Act as a positive role model, building strong and trusting relationships with pupils.Contribute to the school’s wider pastoral support system.
Candidate Requirements
Experience working with young people with SEMH or behavioural needs preferred.A calm, caring, and reflective approach to behaviour management.Resilience and flexibility to adapt to the needs of the students.Clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
