About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified teacher to join a highly supportive specialist school in Mitcham. The school provides tailored education for pupils aged 5 to 16 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will play a key role in delivering creative, engaging lessons adapted to meet the needs of each individual learner. The school offers small class sizes, excellent therapeutic support, and a focus on helping pupils achieve meaningful progress both academically and personally.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons.
Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team including therapists and support staff.
Support pupils with communication needs, emotional regulation and behaviour strategies.
Contribute to the wider school community and help shape a positive, supportive learning environment.
About You
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) is essential.
Experience in an SEND setting, particularly with ASD and/or SEMH.
Resilient, patient, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills.
Passionate about helping young people thrive in education.
