Contract with local authorityWe are seeking a Senior Social Care Brokerage Manager to oversee the facilitation of services for residents with specific social care needs. The ideal candidate will utilize their expert knowledge of client groups, care markets, and negotiation skills to ensure the commissioning of appropriate and cost-effective care. In addition to managing and supporting junior staff, the role involves ensuring timely facilitation of hospital discharges and responsive handling of community referrals. The Senior Social Care Brokerage Manager will collaborate with others to drive improvements in processes and procedures and provide authoritative advice and support to colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Lead the brokerage of services for residents with specific social care needsUtilize expert knowledge of client groups, care markets, and negotiation skillsManage and support junior staffEnsure timely facilitation of hospital discharges and responsive handling of community referralsWork closely with others to support the development and delivery of process improvementsProvide authoritative advice, guidance, and support to colleagues, customers, and stakeholdersRespond to and investigate enquiries and escalated complaintsRequirements Proven experience in social care brokerage or a related fieldExpert knowledge of client groups, care markets, and negotiation skillsStrong leadership and management abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively and drive process improvementsKnowledge of NHSE guidance and relevant regulations is a plus
