Orka Financial is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their clients growing finance team based in Reading. To take ownership of a diverse client portfolio. You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information while supporting regulatory compliance and client communication.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting tasks for a portfolio of clients.
Complete monthly reconciliations across all balance sheet accounts.
Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail.
Finalise and deliver comprehensive management accounts packs.
Compile and submit VAT returns in line with statutory deadlines.
Assist with the production of year-end financial statements
Prepare FCA regulatory filings in accordance with reporting standards.
Support the calculation and review of P11D benefits and PSA submissions.
Act as a key point of contact for auditors, facilitating the upload of documentation across various platforms.
What We’re Looking For:Experience in a similar role
Currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA/AAT
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
