An exciting new role has arisen with a global organisation combining two entities - an NGO and a commercial body - both focussed on influencing the private sector in combatting the climate crisis. The position of Financial Controller will oversee a small finance team of three and be responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective month-end process is in place, while assisting with the financial set-up of new products for the organisation. This is a remote role, with occasional meetings in London and Europe required, and offers a salary of up to £85,000 per annum and excellent benefits including 30 days' annual leave (plus the time in between Christmas and New Year off) and an 8% employer pension contribution. As the Financial Controller your role will involve: Leading on monthly management accounts production and all relevant reconciliations Work to improve the month-end reporting process Managing and mentoring the AP Officer, AR Officer and Finance Officer Leading on year-end accounts preparation and acting as the main point of contact for the annual audit Providing financial support for the set-up of new products The ideal Financial Controller will: Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) Have extensive experience either within a technically-focussed role within the charity sector or having previously audited charities Be a strong mentor who can help guide and develop less experienced staff members Be passionate about the fight against climate change and the work of this organisation This is an excellent opportunity to make your mark on a newly created role within an organisation that continues to experience rapid growth and a role that will offer strong career progression.
