Job Opportunity: Full-Time Design & Technology Technician - September Start | Uxbridge Are you a hands-on individual with a passion for supporting creative learning? We are currently seeking full-time Design & Technology Technicians to join our dynamic secondary schools in and around Uxbridge this September 2025. Location: Uxbridge, LondonStart Date: September 2025Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time OnlySalary: £16 to £18 an hour Role Overview: As a DT Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the Design & Technology department, ensuring practical lessons are well-prepared and resources are maintained to a high standard. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, set up, and maintain tools, machinery, and materials for practical lessons Assist teachers and students during practical sessions across a range of DT disciplines (e.g., Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design) Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations in workshops Carry out routine maintenance and ordering of stock and materials Maintain cleanliness and organisation within DT workshops and prep areas Requirements: Previous experience as a DT Technician or in a similar practical/technical support role (preferred) Knowledge of health & safety in a workshop/school setting Good organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) What We Offer: A supportive school environment with experienced staff An excellent opportunity for professional development - ideal for those considering a career in teaching Competitive pay (based on experience) Full-time hours and a long-term placement, starting in September 2025.
