Role: 1:1 Learning Support AssistantLocation: Sawbridgeworth Pay Rate: £88.92–£110 per day Start Date: September 2025Contract: Full-TimeDedicated 1:1 Learning Support – SawbridgeworthGSL Education is seeking 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to work with a non-verbal Year 1 pupil in schools based in Sawbridgeworth. This is a full-time position requiring strong communication, consistency, and a nurturing approach.Core Responsibilities: • Supporting a non-verbal child with autism in a 1:1 capacity throughout the school day • Assisting with communication strategies and sensory regulation • Implementing behaviour support plans and visual aids • Working closely with teaching staff and speech/language professionals • Creating a structured, secure learning environmentIdeal Candidate Will Have: • Experience working with non-verbal children or those with complex SEN • A patient, calm, and resilient approach • Understanding of early years and communication-based support tools • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education)Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks; including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
