Join as an SEN TA and empower learning with empathy.GSL Education are currently recruiting for a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support students in a specialist setting in Doncaster. This is an opportunity ideal for individuals with previous SEN experience who are looking to make a lasting difference in education.As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.Working closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to deliver tailored interventions.Promoting pupil independence and positive behaviour both in and out of the classroom.Assisting students during lessons and facilitating access to learning activities.Building trusted relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and helping them develop social skills. Skills & Requirements for SEN TA: Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or care setting.Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive under pressure.Understanding of safeguarding procedures and SEN best practices.Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).A CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
