As a Floating Care Apprentice, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and person-centred care to individuals in various locations across the UK. This unique apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in diverse care settings while exploring different regions of the country.You will work as part of a supportive team, assisting individuals with their daily needs, promoting their independence, and ensuring their well-being. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a genuine desire to learn and grow within the care sector.Our Services:We currently have three services that you will work across:Luton - LU3 - This will be base Milton Keynes - NN12London - NW2West Sussex - BN6You will need to be able to get all of these services, via driving or public transport.We are expanding fairly rapidly so more locations will be added in time.Key Responsibilities:Providing Personal Care: Assisting individuals with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.Supporting Daily Living: Helping with meal preparation, medication administration (under supervision), and household tasks.Building Relationships: Developing positive and trusting relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.Following Care Plans: Understanding and implementing individualised care plans to meet specific needs and preferences.Monitoring and Reporting: Observing and reporting any changes in service users' conditions or concerns.Maintaining a Safe Environment: Ensuring the safety and well-being of service users at all times.Travelling and Adapting: Being prepared to travel to different locations across the UK, often with short notice, and adapting to new environments and routines.Participating in Training and Development: Actively engaging in apprenticeship training and development activities.Adhering to Policies and Procedures: Following organisational policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.What We Offer:A comprehensive and structured apprenticeship program leading to a nationally recognised qualification in Health and Social Care Level 2, 3 or 4.The opportunity to gain diverse experience working in various care settings across the UK.All travel and accommodation expenses covered by the organisation.Mentorship and support from experienced care professionals.A supportive and inclusive working environment.Opportunities for career progression within the organisation upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.A chance to make a real difference in the lives of individuals across the country.Free meals and snacks when working in our supported living services.Oyster cards when in our London services.Who We Are Looking For:Individuals with a genuine passion for caring for others.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A positive and enthusiastic attitude.The ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.Flexibility and adaptability to travel frequently and work in different environments.A willingness to learn and develop new skills.A commitment to providing person-centred care.A valid driving license is desirable but not always essential.Eligibility to work in the UK.
