Computer Science – Full-Time, Long-Term Location: Hackney Start Date: September 2025We are proud to be working with a highly regarded secondary school in Hackney, known for their strong staff development, and commitment to helping students thrive academically and personally.The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025 on a full-time, long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to teach in a progressive environment that values innovation, creativity, and student engagement.Key Responsibilities: Deliver Computer Science Language and Literature lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and 4Plan and teach engaging, dynamic lessons that inspire a love for reading and writingSupport students in developing literacy, analytical, and communication skillsProvide effective, constructive feedback to aid student progressContribute to curriculum development and share new ideas and strategiesEncourage participation in enrichment activities like writing clubs and competitionsBe an active member of the school community, promoting its positive values What We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred)Experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary levelStrong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Computer Science literature and languageA creative and learner-centered teaching approachConfident classroom management and a proactive attitudeEnhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) What the School Offers: A welcoming and collaborative Computer Science departmentAccess to excellent teaching resources and a broad literary curriculumOngoing professional development and CPD opportunitiesA nurturing, community-focused school environmentOn-site parking and excellent transport links All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
