Learning Support Assistant Location: Daventry Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-Time - Long-Term / Permanent Salary: Competitive hourly/daily rates (dependent on experience) Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We are working in partnership with a number of secondary schools in Daventry who are looking for committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join their teams from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in inclusive school environments that value tailored support, pupil wellbeing, and professional growth. Key Responsibilities: Provide in-class support to students with SEND across Key Stages 3 and 4 Assist in delivering personalised learning strategies in line with EHCPs and IEPs Adapt lesson resources and activities to meet diverse learning needs Support students with developing communication, emotional regulation, and independence Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and external specialists Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, respectful classroom environment Assist with mobility or personal care needs when required Record and report on pupil progress, engagement, and any concerns What We're Looking For: A genuine interest in supporting young people with special educational needs Patience, emotional resilience, and a proactive approach Strong teamwork and communication skills Some experience in education, youth work, care, or similar roles (desirable) An understanding of SEND practices, or a willingness to learn Ability to work independently and follow guidance effectively Why Join Us?
