Attention all HV Electrical Design Engineers!Blueprint Recruitment have an exciting opportunity to join one of our leading clients Power Transmission/Distribution team. This is an opportunity for a highly capable and motivated specialist HVDC engineers with an eye for detail, to support and inspire the team on a variety of power system projects.This role offers hybrid working from their Manchester office, with the option to consider locations in Glasgow, London, or Birmingham.Key Responsibilities of your role:-Design and analysis of HVDC systems, including converter stations and substations.-Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, focusing on safety and efficiency.-Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate HVDC systems with electrical and civil infrastructure.-Work with clients to define requirements and provide technical guidance.-Create technical documentation, including design reports and specifications.What we are looking for:-PhD, MSc, MEng or BEng degrees in Electrical Engineering /Electrical Power Systems or similar.-Experience with high-voltage power systems.-Knowledge of UK and international grid connection processes and Grid Codes.-Client and project management experience.-In-depth understanding of HVDC technologies and converter station designs.-Proven experience in HVDC projects, including interconnectors and onshore/offshore schemes.-Strong background in HVDC system studies, with excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.-Chartered Engineer or working towards IET chartership is preferable.What's in it for you?-Competitive salary and rewards package.-Ongoing career and learning opportunities.-Flexible benefits.-Generous annual leave.-Hybrid working environment.
