We are working with a fast-growing SaaS business that is seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with strong potential to transition into a permanent role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in accounts payable and receivable to make an immediate impact in a hybrid working environment.Responsibilities: Manage accounts receivable, including generating and issuing sales invoices (staged billing, SaaS contracts, maintenance renewals) Handle accounts payable, including invoice processing, staff expenses, and credit card transactions Perform credit control and cash forecasting activities Maintain the sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information Reconcile bank accounts daily and monthly Support month-end processes, including ledger closure and revenue recognition tasks Prepare and review billing milestone schedules and revenue reports Support Direct Debit administration and reconciliation tasks Assist with project and maintenance billing, including PO chasing and query resolution Requirements Good general accounting experience in both accounts payable and receivable Understanding of credit control, reconciliations, and revenue recognition Strong Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with modern accounting systems Experience with Sage Intacct (preferred) or ability to learn systems quickly Part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA/AAT) or qualified by experience Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Experience in a SaaS or project-based accounting environment (desirable) BenefitsIn return, we offer: Salary of £32,000 – £42,000 per annum (depending on experience) Hybrid working with flexible hours (9:00am–5:30pm) Central London office location Interested?
