SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time, September Start Location: SEN School in Gorton Start Date: September 2025 (following successful trials/interviews) Hours: Full-Time (Term-Time, Monday to Friday)£95-£115 Per day PAYEGSL Education Manchester is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist Primary school in Gorton, supporting children aged 4–11 with SEN including pupils with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and a range of complex learning needs. We are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join the team from September 2025 on a full-time, long-term basis, with trial days and interviews taking place this week and next.About the School:This mainstream school has a SEN provsion which provides tailored education to children with a variety of needs, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH.As an Emotionally Friendly School, the setting prioritises pupil wellbeing, inclusion, and consistent support.About the Role:You will support children with ASC, ADHD or SEMH, helping them to engage in the curriculum and daily routines. The role includes both educational support and elements of personal care (potentially) , making this an ideal opportunity for someone caring, flexible, and motivated to make a difference.Key Responsibilities: Support pupils to access learning across EYFS and primary phasesAssist with behaviour regulation, communication, and social developmentWork closely with teaching staff, therapists, and SENCOs to deliver personalised supportProvide one-to-one or small group interventions where requireCarry out elements of personal care with dignity and professionalismMonitor pupil progress and communicate observations to the wider team What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children with SENPatience, empathy, and an emotionally intelligent approach to behaviourA commitment to promoting an inclusive, safe, and engaging classroomAbility to work collaboratively across a multi-disciplinary teamA willingness to learn and adapt in a specialist environmentEnhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) and two professional references Why Work with This School in Gorton via GSL Education?
