Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SLDSupport pupils' communication, sensory, and independence needsWork closely with support staff and therapists to create a holistic learning environmentUse a range of assessment tools to track and report progressFoster a calm, structured, and safe learning spaceCollaborate with parents and external professionals to support pupil developmentContribute to the wider school community and its inclusive ethos Qualifications and Experience QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualificationExperience teaching pupils with SLD or complex needsStrong classroom management and adaptive teaching strategiesPassion for inclusive, child-centred educationExcellent communication and teamwork skillsKnowledge of SEND strategies, EHCPs, and safeguarding proceduresMakaton, PECS, or similar communication tool knowledge (desirable) At SENDirect, we're committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
