Are you a passionate and resilient Maths Teacher ready to make a meaningful impact?A well-established SEMH school in Essex, is looking for a full-time, permanent SEMH Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2025.This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who thrives on supporting students who face barriers to learning - helping them to rebuild confidence, re-engage in education, and unlock their potential through creative and structured Maths lessons.You'll work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team in a highly supportive environment with a strong focus on wellbeing, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice. Key Responsibilities Use restorative and therapeutic behaviour strategies to manage the classroomDeliver differentiated, engaging Maths lessons tailored to SEMH learnersContribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs and EHCPs)Work closely with support staff, families, and external professionalsFoster a safe, nurturing, and consistent learning environmentTrack and report on pupil progress holistically and academically What We're Looking For Proven experience with SEMH students or in alternative provisionQualified Teacher Status (QTS)Strong subject knowledge in Maths (KS3-KS4)Resilience, flexibility, and a student-centred approachExcellent communication and behaviour management skillsTrauma-informed training or experience (desirable) At SENDirect, we're committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
