KS2 Teacher – Planned Absence Cover – HullPart Time | Until Spring 2026 | ‘Good’ Primary SchoolWe’re looking for a KS2 Teacher to join a busy, vibrant school in Hull on a part-time basis to fulfil a planned absence cover.This is a well-led setting, who employ a collaborative team under a supportive and effective leadership. The class, who are looking forward to taking the next year group up are said to be a settled group with great outcomes so far. They are looking forward to welcoming someone with good behaviour management skills, who can push the class to continue their great attainment but most importantly form good relationships with the class to deliver high quality teaching consistently. The planning will be collaborative with the adjacent class teacher. You’ll be part of a calm, purposeful environment where expectations are realistic.You’ll be responsible for:Designing and delivering lessons that spark curiosity and meet the aims of the KS2 curriculumCreating a calm, nurturing space where all pupils feel included and ready to learnEncouraging academic growth while supporting social and emotional wellbeingWorking in collaboration with your year group or phase team to plan and adapt teachingGiving meaningful feedback that helps pupils move forward—and keeping parents and carers in the loop where neededManaging classroom behaviour with consistency and care, helping every child feel secure, respected and encouraged✅ What you’ll need:QTS and experience teaching in Key Stage 2Strong behaviour management with a nurturing and kind approachThe ability to work as part of a multi-Teacher class, open to sharing best practice and collaborative structure to the curriculum, in line with subject lead guidanceA current DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) Whether you're looking to ease back into the classroom or for a stable, fulfilling part-time post, we’d love to hear from you.
