Job Description: Driver Hire is seeking a reliable Class 1 nightshift Driver for our client in Ecclefechan. This is an ideal opportunity for any individual looking for regular ongoing work. This role involves A to B trunking ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to one location down South. The shifts will be Monday to Friday starting at 1800. HOURLY PAY RATES - £19.05 (Inclusive of holiday pay) HGV Driver Responsibilities include: Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles in compliance with all road and traffic regulations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Ensure timely delivery and collection of goods to designated locations. Secure loads and ensure goods are transported safely. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, and hours worked. Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times. As an HGV Driver you must have: Valid Class 1 HGV (C+E) license. No more than 3 penalty points Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. Strong understanding of road safety regulations. Excellent driving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
