Registered Manager Job Types: Full time, Permanent Hours: 37 per week Salary: £35,984 - £41,267 per year Location: Gillingham Job Scope: Were looking for a dedicated Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our clients care service, ensuring a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for both residents and staff. As a Registered Manager, youll be responsible for the smooth running of the service, ensuring excellent standards of care, compliance with regulations, and the effective management of staff and resources. Youll lead by example, support senior team members, and work closely with external professionals to deliver person-centred outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the delivery of person-centred care, ensuring safety, well-being, and dignity Provide leadership and supervision to Deputy Managers, Team Leaders, and Senior Support Workers Use IT systems for quality assurance, staff management, training, and incident reporting Build strong relationships with external agencies to enhance referrals and placements Support staff development through training, inductions, and performance management Promote continuous improvement in care delivery and service quality Do you have? Gillingham, Dorset Service Type: Adults' residential home (10-bed, currently 1 void – manager expected to fill this) Client Focus: Residents with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, diabetes (with management plans), and mental health conditions Each resident has a strong personality – they’re looking for someone who can offer a personal and unique approach Ideal Candidate Profile: Must hold a Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care (initially they said its non-negotiable – but if the candidate has few modules left, i don't think this will be an issue if they have other NVQs) Very experienced Registered Manager or strong Deputy/Area Manager ready to step up with solid background Must be very sociable, personable, and confident Longevity and the ability to build strong relationships are key qualities they're looking for, as this comes up a lot during interviews Support Structure: Ops Manager who regularly supports the home Area Manager visits 2–3 times per week Additional Info: CVs must be submitted via the portal Driving licence is not required, but it is a plus if they have it Another thing she mentioned to keep in mind going forward is that if something isn’t specified in the job description – like a driving licence – it’s not considered essential.
