Mechanical Fitter – Waste Managementc£45,000 + BenefitsLondon Bridge MC Technical Recruitment is currently seeking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to join one of the UK’s leading waste management and recycling companies at a Transfer Station near London Bridge.As the Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for: Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)Completing repairs, modifications, and fabrications on site equipmentReplacing or adjusting component parts to avoid downtime and ensure efficiencyPerforming mechanical tests in line with regulationsResponding to breakdowns and providing technical support as neededAssisting with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of workWorking Monday-Friday with overtime opportunities availableOther duties as required To be considered for this opportunity, you should have: A recognised mechanical qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND)Background in mobile plant, compactors, or similar industrial equipmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsGood IT skills (Microsoft Office)Willingness to work additional hours or attend training, including weekends if required This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading waste management company and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of their London Transfer Station.The offer: Basic salary up to £45,000OvertimePensionHolidaysTraining and development opportunities To apply:If you are interested in applying, please click “apply today” or contact MC Technical Recruitment on.
