Full Stack Software Developer Location: Remote(from UK based home address - please note that in person attendance to final interview is required) Hours: 08:00 to 16:30 (with 1 hr unpaid break for lunch) Contract: Full time, fixed term contract for 1 year (with possibility of extension depending on business need)Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) Reporting to: Head of Engineering Role Overview We’re looking for a versatile and experienced Full Stack Developer to join our growing engineering team. You will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable web applications that support our digital platforms and internal tools. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across the stack and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust full-stack applications using modern frameworks. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality features. Write clean, testable, and efficient code using best practices. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies. Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and production incidents. Tech Stack Frontend: React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript Backend: Django Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB Other: Figma, Agile/Scrum, GitHub Actions Requirements: Essential 2+ years of experience in full stack development Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React Experience with Django and MySQL Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team Desirable Exposure to mobile development (React Native) Background in edtech or education platforms Familiarity with other backend frameworks or CMS platforms Whilst every effort has been made to explain the main duties and responsibilities of the post, each individual task undertaken may not be identified.
