About the Role – Graduate English Teaching AssistantThis Graduate English Teaching Assistant role is ideal for those ready to immerse themselves in secondary education. Your duties will include: Providing literacy-focused support to students, both in small groups and individually.Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and challenging English lessons.Supporting pupils in preparation for GCSE English exams and coursework.Encouraging students to develop analytical thinking and a genuine passion for reading and writing.Helping to remove barriers to learning, especially around reading fluency and written expression.Creating learning resources and helping maintain a well-organised and dynamic classroom.Collaborating with SEN and pastoral teams to ensure holistic support for every learner. What We’re Looking For – Graduate English Teaching AssistantWe want to hear from graduates who are: Educated to degree level (2:1 or above) in English, English Literature, or a closely related subject.Academically strong, with a solid track record in English at both A-Level and GCSE.Enthusiastic about supporting students of all backgrounds and abilities.Clear communicators with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.Reflective, reliable, and keen to develop a long-term career in education.Previous experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential.
