Join Our Team as a Learning Support Assistant in Highcliffe!Location: Poole, Dorset Contract Type: Full-time, with opportunities for long-term placements Start Date: September 2025Are you an experienced and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) seeking a meaningful role? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for dedicated LSAs to work in secondary schools in Poole and surrounding areas.We collaborate with a variety of schools looking for committed individuals to support students with diverse needs, including SEN, SEMH, and other additional learning challenges.Key Responsibilities: Provide focused support to students in class, small groups, or one-on-one settings. Assist teachers with lesson delivery, ensuring all students can engage and succeed. Encourage and foster student independence and confidence in their learning journey. Support students with SEN, tailoring interventions to meet their specific needs. Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour, following school policies and best practices. Collaborate with staff to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging educational environment. What We’re Looking For: Experience: Previous experience working with secondary-aged students, particularly those with SEN or additional needs. Skills: A strong understanding of SEN and SEMH strategies, along with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Attitude: Patience, empathy, and adaptability when supporting students. Commitment: A proactive, team-oriented approach to working within a school environment and upholding its values and safeguarding policies.
