Teaching Assistant – KS1 (SEN Support) Location: BoltonStart Date: SeptemberFull-Time, Term Time OnlyCompetitive daily rate, dependent on experienceAre you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting young children with Special Educational Needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bolton is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team and provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs.About the Role: You will: Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support Assist children in accessing the curriculum and developing key social, emotional, and learning skills Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment Support with EHCP targets and contribute to progress reviews About You: Experience working with SEN children (in a school or similar setting) is essential A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Certificate) is desirable Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What We Offer: A supportive and friendly school community Ongoing CPD and training opportunities The chance to make a real difference in children’s lives All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
