Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Sheffield, S26 Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?GSL Education are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in the Sheffield (S26) area. As an SEN TA, you will adapt learning materials, offer one-to-one or small group support, and create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.Assist teachers in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.Support the delivery of tailored interventions and adapt learning resources to meet individual needs.Encourage the development of pupils’ confidence, social skills, and independence.Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to provide consistent support. Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN or educational setting.Understanding of conditions such as autism, ADHD, or SEMH.Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills.An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).A complete CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
