Job Title: Behaviour Mentor Location: Wingerworth, S42 Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a caring, patient, and resilient individual committed to supporting children with behavioural and emotional challenges? GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming school in the Wingerworth (S42) area. As a Behaviour Mentor, your role will involve implementing tailored strategies, monitoring progress, and collaborating with teaching staff and parents to create a supportive and structured learning environment. Key Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor: Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and success in learning.Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies and track pupil progress.Support the class teacher in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent support. Requirements for Behaviour Mentor: Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs is highly desirable.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Patience, adaptability, and a proactive, solution-focused approach.An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).A CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
