Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Walthamstow – East LondonFull Time – 5 days a week Are you a recent graduate (2:1 or above)Do you have experience working with young people in positions of responsibility, such as sports coaching, youth work, or mentoring?Do you have the emotional resilience, patience, and empathy to make a real difference in an SEN environment?KPI Education are looking for a Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to start in September 2025. As a Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the SENCO and classroom teacher to provide individualized support and guidance to the student. This is an excellent opportunity to develop professional skills in 1:1 SEN support while making a genuine difference to pupils’ educational journeys.Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role Provide 1:1 support for a student with SEN ensuring physical, emotional and education need are met.Implement and adapt learning activates to suit the student individuals needs and learning style.Monitor and record students progress reporting to the SENCO and classroom teacher as required.Use appropriate behavior management strategies to support the student’s positive behaviorAssist with classroom management and contribute to a positive learning environment Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role Minimum 2:1 degree in in Psychology or related subject preferredExperience working with students with SEN, including Autism, ADHD and/or learning disabilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents/ carers.
