Deputy Head of Service (Mental Health) Contract: Initially until March 2026 Pay: £450 per day (Inside IR35) Hours: 37 per week, Monday - Friday Location: Hackney / Hybrid working (2 days onsite) We're working with a Local Authority who are looking for an experienced Deputy Head of Service (Mental Health) to join their team. This is a good opportunity to play a key role in shaping and improving mental health services, ensuring residents receive safe, personalised, and high-quality care. Key Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with the Head of Service, Social Work Professional Lead, and senior leaders to deliver on departmental and corporate objectives. Lead and support services to deliver high-performing, innovative, and outcome-focused interventions for residents. Manage resources effectively, including budget oversight, cost efficiencies, and workforce management. Drive forward service improvements and change management initiatives, identifying innovative approaches to deliver better outcomes. Ensure compliance, safety, and quality standards are consistently met across services. Requirements A degree (or higher) in Social Work, Social Care, Allied Health Professions, or Public Health, with appropriate professional registration. Significant and proven leadership and managerial experience within health and social care. Strong track record in change management and driving service improvements. Experience in delivering and managing projects in a complex health and social care environment.
