Assistant Harvest Manager We are looking for a motivated Assistant Harvest Manager to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of this season's strawberry harvest. This is a hands-on leadership role, supporting the Production Manager in ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality operations across the farm. Main Duties Harvest Operations - Organise and oversee daily strawberry picking, ensuring high standards of speed, accuracy, and fruit quality. Team Supervision - Help lead seasonal staff, including training new workers, creating rotas, and monitoring productivity. Quality Assurance - Check fruit quality during and after harvest, maintaining strict post-harvest handling standards. Logistics & Reporting - Assist with recording yields, stock movement, and liaising with distribution partners. Health & Safety - Uphold compliance with all safety, hygiene, and welfare procedures. Problem-Solving - Respond promptly to day-to-day challenges to keep harvest operations running efficiently. What We're Looking For Proven experience in horticulture, crop production, or harvest supervision. Excellent organisational and people-management skills. Ability to inspire and coordinate a diverse workforce. Willingness to work outdoors in all weather. Awareness of food safety and crop-handling requirements.
