Job Title: Special Needs Teaching AssistantLocation: Southwark, South East LondonSalary: £190 - £250 per day (depending on experience)Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time OnlyStart Date: September 2025 Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lewisham seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a variety of learning needs.About the Role: This is a full-time, long-term role suitable for a candidate who has experience or a strong interest in working with children with special educational needs, including: Supprt pupils with special need like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD),ADHD, Speech and language difficulties, SEMH challenges.Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groupsAssist teachers with classroom management and lesson deliveryCreate a positive and inclusive learning environmentWork closely with the SENCO, parents, and external professionals Requirements: Previous experience supporting children with SEN (desirable)A positive, patient and empathetic natureStrong communication and teamwork skillsRelevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Psychology degree, or equivalent experience) Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What We Offers: Access to CPD and training opportunities (e.g. Team Teach, Safeguarding, Autism Awareness).A dedicated consultant to support your career progression.Opportunity to work in a rewarding and dynamic school environment.A supportive Senior Leadership and a warm, inclusive school community.Access to excellent resources and continuous professional development.The potential to secure a long-term or permanent role.Weekly pay and support through Teaching Personnel.
