We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the Permanent appointment of a Senior Finance Officer. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Rate of Pay: £42,771.00 - £45,750.00 per annum Responsibilities: Responsible for leading on specific service menu items and delivering to a high standard the full menu of finance service activities for the assigned teamProactively develop skills, understanding and abilities in delivering finance services. Take ownership of specific finance processes to ensure all officers are appropriately trained able to carry out these processes in a consistent and efficient mannerProactively coach and develop and quality assure the work of others on how best to deliver the service menu, standards and performance indicators, driving a step change in team productivity.Deal professionally and effectively with all contacts from a wide range of people, including senior management where appropriate, using tact and discretion, assessing needs and re-directing enquiries, where appropriate. Knowledge Required: Excellent understanding and experience of working within Finance-related rolesCouncil processes and working practicesDemonstrable experience of working within a finance related role in a local authority Skills and Experience: Experience of leading change / efficiency initiativesWorking within a finance related role in a local authority environment delivering high quality servicesExcellent communication skills and experience including working with senior stakeholdersExcellent IT/technical skills, knowledgeProactive development of skills and knowledgeHighly numerate and literate Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
