This role gives you the opportunity to provide focused, individual support to pupils, helping them achieve their learning goals and build confidence in a classroom environment.About the RoleAs a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work directly with a pupil to provide personalised support aligned with their individual learning plan. You will collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the pupil receives the assistance needed to thrive.Your Responsibilities as a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA): Provide one-to-one support to the assigned pupil throughout the school day.Assist in implementing individual learning plans and interventions.Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and behavioural development.Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff.Prepare and organise classroom resources as required.Monitor pupil progress and report observations to teaching staff.Encourage independence and confidence in learning.Assist with personal care or mobility support if needed.Support the pupil during lessons, breaks, and lunchtimes.Participate in school trips and extracurricular activities with the pupil. 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA) Requirements: Experience working with children in a UK school or similar setting.A degree in Psychology, SEN or a similar field.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting children.Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent (desirable).Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
