4-Month Contract with a local authorityJob PurposeTo lead and manage the statutory assessment and planning processes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring timely and effective delivery of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The EHCP Coordinator will work collaboratively with families, professionals, and service providers to improve outcomes and promote person-centred, strengths-based approaches.Key Duties/AccountabilitiesLead and manage the statutory EHCP assessment and review processes as part of a team of coordinatorsWork in direct partnership with children, young people, parents/carers, education providers, and practitioners to ensure efficient and effective service deliveryPromote and facilitate strengths-based, person-centred approaches in all aspects of EHCP development and reviewSupport quality assurance processes and contribute to evidence-based decision-making for consistency and accountabilityDraft and maintain high-quality EHCPs that reflect the needs, aspirations, and outcomes for children and young peopleEssential Experience RequiredProven experience working within SEND services or a related fieldStrong understanding of the statutory EHCP process and relevant legislationExperience drafting EHCPs and managing complex caseworkEssential Qualification RequiredRelevant qualification in education, social care, or a related disciplineStrong written and verbal communication skillsMust be fluent in English (as required under Part 7 of the Immigration Act for customer-facing roles)Enhanced DBS clearance (required)Additional InformationWorking hours: 37 Hours Per WeekLocation: Civic Campus, Euclid Street, Swindon, SN1 2JG, United KingdomEnhanced DBS is required for the roleThe role closes on 8th September 2025, apply ASAP.RequirementsRequirementsProven experience working within SEND services or a related fieldStrong understanding of the statutory EHCP process and relevant legislationExperience drafting EHCPs and managing complex caseworkRelevant qualification in education, social care, or a related disciplineStrong written and verbal communication skillsMust be fluent in EnglishEnhanced DBS clearance
