Job Title: Lead UI Developer (Generative AI) Location: Glasgow (2-3 days on-site per week) Salary/Rate: Up to £447.50 per day - (PAYE via Umbrella - Inside IR35) Start Date: 15/09/2025 Job Type: Contract until 30/06/2026 Company Introduction: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead UI Developer to join a high-profile project. This role will play a key part in delivering advanced, scalable user interface solutions enhanced with Generative AI technologies. Job Responsibilities/Objectives: Leading the design and development of scalable, maintainable UI applications. Architecting and implementing Generative AI-powered features, such as intelligent assistants and adaptive UI components. Driving adherence to architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices. Developing high-performance UIs primarily in ReactJS, with additional exposure to Angular desirable. Collaborating with backend teams to integrate APIs and GenAI endpoints. Ensuring compatibility, security, and performance across browsers, devices, and cloud environments. Mentoring junior developers and contributing to technical discussions and code reviews. Required Skills/Experience: Proven software development experience, with a strong focus on frontend technologies. Proven experience in ReactJS Proven experience in JavaScript / TypeScript Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns. Experience integrating APIs (Next.js, Node.js) and Generative AI models into frontend applications. Knowledge of application compatibility, security best practices, and performance optimisation. Familiarity with AWS services for deployment and AI model hosting. Desirable Skills/Experience: Experience with Angular and hybrid frontend architectures. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native development. Familiarity with GenAI frameworks. AWS certification or equivalent cloud expertise.
