Area Sales Representative Salary: £36,000 + commission + car/car allowance Location: Kent, Sussex & Surrey Employment: Full Time, permanent (field-based with travel across Kent, Sussex & Surrey)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading international manufacturer and distributor of decorative surfaces and building materials. With a strong presence across multiple countries, this business is renowned for delivering high-quality, innovative products under its own brand. Reporting to the UK & Ireland Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving business development and sales growth in your assigned territories.
The Role
As an Area Sales Representative, you will focus on generating new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. You'll work across multiple distribution channels, including distributors, contractors, retail partners, and wholesalers, representing a market-leading brand in the interior design and building materials sectors.
Area Sales Representative Responsibilities:
Drive sales of decorative panels, floors, skirtings, and facade products
Develop and implement trade policies, distribution, and marketing plans in your territory
Build and maintain relationships with distributors, contractors, and retail partners
Identify new business opportunities and convert prospects into loyal customers
Provide professional and efficient service to existing clients
Meet and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs
Collaborate with HQ and the wider sales team to share insights and best practice

Area Sales Representative Requirements: We're looking for a motivated and driven sales professional who brings:
Minimum 2 years' experience in sales within interior design, building materials, or technical sectors (B2B or B2C)
Proven track record of business development and achieving sales targets
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a field-based environment
Full driving licence
Proficiency in English (oral and written)
