Job DescriptionThe Senior Network Engineer/Lead is responsible for designing and implementing solutions that compliment a dynamic, always growing and evolving global network for one of the leading organizations in financial services. You will bring a unique perspective to a team that adapts and maintains a secure and reliable network hosted across both cloud and office/site network infrastructure. Although the core focus of this role will be to act as a Network Engineer with a solid understanding of Network & IT Infrastructure Fundamentals including protocols, switches, routers/firewalls, it will also include exposure to experience operating within Azure & AWS cloud tenants. You will design and manage the local and wide area networks of our organization to ensure maximum up time for our users.Reporting to the Director, IT, Infrastructure, you will:Design and Architect NetworksDevelop secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures using technologies like VPNs, VPCs, virtual networks, and load balancers.Cloud Network ManagementProvision, configure, and manage cloud-based network resources across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Cisco Meraki.Network Security ImplementationEnforce robust security measures including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and compliance with industry standards.Performance Monitoring and TroubleshootingContinuously monitor network performance, diagnose issues, and optimize for stability, availability, and efficiency.Hybrid Network IntegrationSeamlessly connect cloud environments with on-premises infrastructure using secure methods like VPNs.Automation and ScriptingLeverage automation tools and scripting languages to streamline network operations and reduce manual tasks.Disaster Recovery and Continuity PlanningManage backup strategies, disaster recovery protocols, and ensure business continuity for network systems.Documentation and ComplianceMaintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, operational procedures, and compliance records.Stakeholder Communication and CollaborationCollaborate with IT teams and stakeholders, providing clear updates on incidents, maintenance, and project progress.Continuous Learning and InnovationStay current with emerging technologies and trends, recommending improvements to enhance network infrastructure.#LI-Hybrid
