Interim Registered Building Inspector – Class 2A-F / 2A-DRate: £70–£80 per hour (depending on experience and registration class)IR35 Status: Inside IR356 months rolling contract Location: On-site (up to 35 hours per week, part-time options available)Reporting into the Assistant Director of Building Control, you will be joining the team during a period of growth and transformation. This is a key role supporting compliance, safety, and quality across a diverse range of residential and commercial developments.Particularly interested in candidates registered under Class 2A-F, though they are open to considering professionals with Class 2A-D and above under the Building Safety Regulator framework.About the Registered Building Inspector role:Undertake plan assessments and site inspections across a mix of residential and commercial projects.Ensure full compliance with Building Regulations and current legislation.Adhere to the Operational Standard Rules (OSR)and maintain accurate inspection records.Provide clear, practical technical advice to contractors, developers, and internal teams.Support enforcement and general building surveying duties as required.Your previous experience as a Registered Building Inspector:Registered under Class 2A-F (or higher) with the Building Safety Regulator.Minimum 5 years’ experience in Building Control, ideally within a Local Authority or Approved Inspector setting.Strong working knowledge of England Building Regulations and associated legislation.Confident communicator with excellent organisational and reporting skills.Able to manage your own workload and work independently.Must have access to a suitable vehicle for site visits and official Council business.This is a flexible opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from domestic extensions to major commercial developments, while contributing to a high-performing Building Control team.If you are interested in this Registered Building Inspector, then please send your full CV to Nikki.
