Senior Support Worker - Days & Nights Location: Llantarnam Pay: Days - £12.50/hr | Nights - £12.70/hr Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Shifts: 1 x Day Role & 1 x Night Role Available We're currently looking to recruit two experienced Senior Support Workers to join our team in a warm and well-established 28-bed residential care home. We support adults with a range of complex needs, including dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments. This is a full-time, hands-on role ideal for someone looking to step into leadership or build on existing senior care experience. About the Home: Our service provides: Residential and dementia care (mild to moderate) Support for older people and younger adults Specialist care for Parkinson's, stroke, ABI, and palliative needs Day care, respite, and convalescent stays We focus on personalised, respectful care, promoting dignity and independence at all times. About the Role: Lead and support care staff during your shift Ensure care plans are followed and updated Administer and record medication safely (must be medication trained) Be a key point of contact for families and professionals Help create a positive, person-centred environment Maintain high standards of care and compliance Support new staff and act as a role model What We Need: Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential) Medication trained and confident administering meds Previous senior or team-leading experience in a care setting preferred Reliable, flexible, and confident in decision-making Able to work independently and as part of a wider care team
