We are currently working in partnership with a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, who are looking to appoint a Clerk of Works on a permanent basis.This will be a full-time position based in London, with flexible hybrid working and a salary of £50,000-£55,000 per annum.The ideal candidate will hold a full UK driving license and be a member of the Institute of Clerk of Works and Construction Inspectorate (or willing to obtain such status).Duties will include (but are not limited to): Monitoring and inspecting all works in progress, including those of sub-contractors throughout the execution of the contract for compliance with the specificationInforming the Project Manager and the Principal Contractor in writing of any workmanship and materials found not to complyReporting in line with the requirements of specific scope of servicesMaintaining a diary of the progress of works, delays, unsatisfactory workmanship or materials, visitors to the site and weather, on a weekly basisRecording the details of any occurrence or situation thought likely to cause delay or of any delays which do occur in relation to the building contract and inform the Project ManagerSubmitting any queries on the drawings and specifications to the Project Manager; draw the attention of the Project Manager to any apparent discrepancies noted on the drawings and between drawings and specifications and measured items in the contract documentsAttending sites and providing full service as required by the building contract Experience required: Experience required in new buildsExperience working on residential projectsMember of the ICWCI Skills, knowledge and expertise required: Risk assessment and managementGood knowledge of quality and safety standardsMonitor progress effectively to ensure the delivery of projects on time and within budget Rewards and Benefits: Hybrid working Working hours: 35 hours per weekMonday – Friday, 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
